DALLSS have provided Long Term Follow-up Aftercare Re-enty programs and services to more than 450 women in the past ten years; many under the direct tutelage of Ms Powell.
Our Staff consist of sincere, caring, compassionate, and understanding individuals who are highly qualified and devoted to mentoring, nurturing, empowering and supporting participants without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, age, ancestry, disability, or sexual orientation.
Louise Powell is the Founder and CEO of DALLSS, Inc. A Non-Profit 501c 3, State certified Minority Woman Owned Organization established in 1999. She designed DALLSS’ programs specifically to empower less fortunate high-risk women who have a desire to improve their lives and overcome the trauma events of violence, substance abuse or incarceration.
Louise is a native of Norfolk, VA where she received her MBA and a BS in Secondary Adult Education. She moved to Massachusetts where she discovered her love of helping the less fortunate. Her knowledge, skills and experiences of 27 years, coupled with her passion, drive and determination to help women, earned her “The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Governor’s Citation Award”, in recognition of dedicated programs and services to women’s mental and emotional health; the “MA Dept of Public Health Diversity Council Community Leadership Award,” and the Boston Public Health Commission “Outstanding Organizational Support Award.” in recognition of helping the Boston, Jamaica Plain and Hyde Park communities obtain health benefits via physical activities.
